In Honor of the Late Dr. Hank Lindstrom
Dr. Lindstrom passed away in October of 2008. He served as pastor of Calvary for 42 years. Calvary is located at 4811 George Road, Tampa, Florida. Hank loved the month of October, because he was always looking for the Rapture to take place during his lifetime. I guess you could say he was raptured out of this world.
I met Hank in 1964 at Boca Raton, Florida at the Christian Youth Ranch Summer Camp. He could play the guitar, sing, and was extremely knowledgeable with the Bible.
Mike Shaffer, Wally Morillo, (standing on the left) and I helped to serve as pallbearers for Dr. Lindstrom. Mike and Wally are both sons-in-law to Dr. Stanford.
Dr. A. Ray Stanford preached the main funeral service and I was privileged to speak at the grave side. Dr. Stanford has since gone to glory at 95 years of age. These two men were master soul-winners who trained multitudes of disciples.
Can you imagine what singing “Amazing Grace” will be like when we all get to Heaven?
Have you been listening for the trumpet to sound and a voice to say, “Come up hither?” This was truly an emotional moment.

These two men have been two pillars at Calvary for the Lord. Calvary has had three pastors; Dr. Hank Lindstrom, Dr. Ralph “Yankee” Arnold, and Pastor Jesse Martinez, but Calvary has been blessed to have had these two men serve faithfully under all three. They have provided great comfort, guidance, and stability for these pastors and the congregation.
Calvary was planted, an oak has grown. Continue to pray, attend, and support this great ministry.
