Merry Christmas
from Yankee and Betty
Betty and I pray that you and your family will have a joyous
Christmas and a great new year with the Lord.
First, I want
to say thank you for your prayers for my health throughout this year. As you
know, last January, I spent almost three weeks in the hospital with covid. That
is not how I expected the new year to begin. There was a time when I was not
sure I would ever regain the strength needed to continue the ministry. Much
prayer produced much power to keep Betty and I on the road for about 5 months
this year. With much appreciation and gratitude, we will (Lord willing) finish
this year in good health, much fruit, and in the black.
As you consider making your year-end contributions, I would like for you to consider Yankee Arnold Ministries. Each year, I
must sign radio contracts for the coming year to maintain our status on
the air. What that means is that I must promise to pay for airtime. I do so,
trusting that the Lord will work through faithful listeners on Radio and faithful
watchers on YouTube, who love the ministry and are willing to give their financial
support. Living by faith is living by the confidence that others have in your
ministry. I pray that this ministry has earned your trust.
Allow
me a moment to share with you something I learned about the working of the
Lord. Notice the need of his ministry and his prayer request to
his disciples.
Mat 9:36 But when he (THE
LORD) saw the multitudes, he was
moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad,
as sheep having no shepherd. Mat 9:37 Then saith he
unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the
labourers are few; Isn’t it a shame that
laborers are few? Somebody must have refused to go or someone must have refused
to give! Mat 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will
send forth labourers into his harvest.
See what Jesus saw.
He saw the multitudes, He was moved with
compassion, because they were scattered, and there was no shepherd. He saw that the harvest was plenteous
(meaning many people). He saw that the laborers were few.
Notice what he told them
to do.
He told them to talk to him about this need.
I believe that Jesus has told his children to go, but most will not do so. I
believe that the Lord has commanded His children to supply but many have chosen to
disobey.
If
we honestly pray as we should, we will honestly do as we should. I desire each
of God’s people to talk to the Lord of the harvest to not only send forth
laborers, but to send forth supporters for the laborers. I am not asking you to
give for my sake, but am I wrong to ask to believe that the Lord may speak to
you through me for the sake of lost souls that have yet to hear? I must
present the cause for people to know the need.
As
God is my witness and knows my heart, I tell you the truth as Paul the apostle,
says in Phil. 4:17. Not because I
desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
This is how Paul describes their gift to his
ministry.
Php 4:18 But I have all,
and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet
smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to
God. This sacrifice that was acceptable to the Lord was
financial gifts to the ministry of Paul. Php 4:19 But my God shall
supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
God’s promise to supply your needs because you
supplied his need. I am no apostle Paul, but I have the same gospel and desire
fruit that may abound to your account. I do reach souls for Christ.

Prayer Requests
Would you take
a moment today and pray for me to make the right decision if it becomes possible
to add more stations and additional staff, or if it becomes necessary to cut a radio
station or a staff worker for the coming year? I have found that it is more
difficult to stop something than to start something. I would love to be on
every radio station in America.
Pray for sufficient
health for Betty and me. Betty has had bronchial issues for over 20 years,
and nothing has helped even after going to Mayo Clinic and dozens of other
doctors. We are planning on spending two months in Arizona after the first of
the year. I will be speaking on the way there and back before planning on a five-month
evangelistic tour.
Where I need your
involvement is with the AUDIO and VIDEO MINISTRY. If you enjoy the daily Radio
and Podcast Ministry help me with the expenses, or if you enjoy the YOUTUBE
MINISTRY remember, someone must do the editing, thumbnails, and posting. It takes highly
qualified people to do what needs to be done.

we seek to find a good used updated motor home. Ours is 24 years old and

Allow
me to share a couple of pictures and comments that does boost my ego just a
little bit. Below is a picture of my son, Eddie Ray Arnold, as he sings the
National Anthem for the Middle Tennessee State University. After his introduction
to sing, Eddie walks out onto the floor, takes mike in hand and without any music,
sings beautifully. Couldn’t help but be proud.
Every
year, Salem Media Group, host the Pastor’s Appreciation Day for Tampa Bay area Pastors. I was permitted to give closing comments and prayer. Of course my comments included my thanks to them for their prayers and a presentation of the gospel.
Little did I know that I was going to be honored by the presentation of a Life-Time Achievement Award from General Manager, Barb Yoder.

have been privileged to serve the last 10 years as the President of the Florida
Bible College of Tampa, conduct evangelistic meetings 5 months out of the year,
writing books, songs, and articles for publications. To me, preaching is a pleasure!
