Yankee travels to Indiana, Ohio, and New York with schedule update and pictures

July     03 and 06 I was with Bill and Kris Kaminsky of                        the Tippecanoe Bible Church in Lafayette, Indiana. 

        July 13  Betty and I was with Pastor Neal and Julie Dearyan of Crossroads Baptist Church in Fresno, OH. Although they were taking kids to camp in Ill., they saw that we were taken care of by Todd Harriman, Jacob, and Amanda Timonen. Amanda is the grand-daughter of Dr. James Scudder.

You can see that my motor-home is parked right by the new church they just completed. Neal put in a 50 amp plug just for me. 

 

Yesterday, Ehkhu Htoo was ordain into the ministry as a pastor. He is a graduate of Dayspring Bible College. He and his wife have been on staff for several years and have worked with their children’s ministry and  school. He does an awesome job with their music also. They are  originally from Myanmar and Thailand. 

Last Sunday at 3:00pm, I was privileged to join the nominating committee with Pastor Neal Dearyan, Pastor Jim Scudder, Paul Julian, Todd Herriman, Rick McClendon, and Mike Cornelison. Ehkhu was given a unanimous vote of confidence.

 

This is one of the trademarks of a clear gospel presentation by Pastor Paul Julian who works with Quentin Road Baptist Church in Lake Zurich, Ill.

This new church was built in less than 6 months and looks like it might need to expand. They were packed out even into the overflow room. Neal and Julie are great laborers for the Lord. 

July     20      Sun     Tonawanda Indian Baptist Church in Basom, New York with Pastor Bob Dean. I preached in both churches Sunday and had about 10 trust the Lord. 

I met Sonny Blueye back in 1968 at the Roman Nose State Park where were having Indian Camps with Missionary Cliff Taylor. Cliff and I spoke to Sonny of his need to attend the Florida Bible College. A couple years later, "Sonny" Blueye led Bob Dean to the Lord and both attended Florida Bible College in Hollywood. 

They both revived the church on the reservation here on the Tonawanda Reservation and also worked together in starting High Point Church off the reservation. Later, I conducted the funeral for Sonny, but Bob is still carrying on both churches. NOT BAD FOR A COUPLE OF INDIANS, HUH??

High Point Community Church in Corfu, New York with Pastor Bob Dean. There were about 250 yesterday at High Point. They provided a hook-up for the motor-home and a car to use.

                      

              

I guess I could say, "Bob is the greatest Indian I know".

Going home to Tampa soon.

 Belmont Bible Church Pastor Mark Moore June 20 and 22

I was honored to speak at Simple Steps on Friday night. This is a wonderful program for anyone struggling with any type of addictions. Mark and his wife, Erin, have been greatly used by the Lord to establish a great growing ministry. Mark was also the lead-off keynote speaker for the Quentin Road Baptist Church Grace Conference in Lake Zurich, Ill.  His message on Ephesians 2:10 was a classic against the claims of Calvinism. This one was out of the ballpark.

Dan Horning (left) was greatly used by the Lord to be our deliverer in our time of need. We needed use of a car; he got us one, we needed to use another camper while our was in the shop; he got us one, we needed to take the motor-home to RV Repair Shop, Dan took us there. When I needed to have Betty taken to the Hotel for the Grace Conference, he took her there. He helped us in that sweltering heat as sweat ran down his face. He simply out-did himself. He truly was an example of the believer in word and deed. Thank you Dan.

When we were at the Belmont Bible Church in Downers Grove, IL. (near Chicago), we had to run our two roof top air-conditioners day and night for straight five days. Both of these two 23 year old air-conditioners died and we had them replaced while we attended the Grace Conference. Praise the Lord for cool air.

Chicago weather: Extreme heat warning continues for 3rd straight day. Extreme heat warnings and heat advisories were still in effect across the Chicago area. According to the National Weather Service, Chicago and Cook County were under an extreme heat warning through midnight, with dangerously hot and humid conditions and a high temperature of 97 degrees.

"The magnitude of anticipated heat, combined with oppressive warmth at night will lead to hazardous conditions, particularly for the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions," the NWS said. 

 Quentin Road Baptist Church Grace Conference in Lake Zurich, Ill.

Pastor Jim Scudder was trapped in Israel, but arrived home in time to conduct the 20th Annual Grace Conference. Jim has surrounded himself with wonderful co-workers that love the Lord and work together for the Gospel of Grace.

Pastor Neal Dearyan of the Crossroads Baptist Church (formerly Chili Crossroads Bible Church) brought 39 of his people to the conference. If you want your people to catch a vision, you must let them see potential where they are. Like in,"We can do this for the Lord."
