See how the Lord delivered us from a devastating dilemma in Eastern Kentucky

When the flood waters were hitting Eastern Kentucky where many people died last week, Betty and I felt it would be wise for us to leave on that Thursday night about 8pm. We heard that another big rain storm was coming later that night and we were fearful that we might get trapped due to flooding.

After driving for about 3 hours, I stopped at a McDonald's to get some coffee. When I started the motor-home,  the air pressure for the brakes were so low, I was not able to leave the parking lot. We went to sleep and decided to face it on Friday morning.

We were trapped without a clue as to what to do. I wasn't even sure where we were. I remembered that Pastor Randy Waller lived somewhere in these mountains.  I called him and he told his son, Luke, who was only about 10 minutes away. He came over immediately, crawled under the motor, found the high-pressure hose that had a hole in it, but he lacked the proper tools to take it off. From out of the blue, a young man pulled up in his pick-up and asked if we had brake trouble. He gave us the name and number of a man who drove out, changed the hose, and we were on the road again. He said the hose had laid against the hot manifold and caused the leak. He said that my breaks would have locked up on me at anytime.

Randy Waller is on the left, beside me is the service mechanic, Dean Armstrong, and Luke Waller. Remember what Paul said in 2 Co 1:8,  For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: Thanks for you who pray for us daily. We would have had no brakes down the very next hill.
I was privileged to preach Sunday at the Community Church in Franklin, North Carolina for Pastor James Greer. We enjoyed a great pot-luck dinner afterward. The people really enjoyed the study on prophecy of Matthew 24.
Clint and Judy Smith have been personal friends for many years. I met Clint back in 1969 in Dora Lake, Minn.

Clint built his home on 14 beautiful acres. This is where we stayed for 5 days.

Kedron Payne and his family found me on YouTube and they drove about an hour and a half to attend the service.
