Yankee Shares Holy Days in Review 2024

Betty and I have been blessed of the Lord to have wonderful children. My oldest son, David, died in December of 1990 at the age of 28. Below is my youngest son, Eddie who is 53. He has taken this last half of the year getting pilot's license in Nashville, Tennessee. I am very proud of his ambitions to improve. Perhaps he could fly me around instead of me driving the motor-home.

I always like sharing time with these young men. Michael and Nicole Brown loan Hunter and Aiden to their uncle Yankee, so he can love on them a little. I see two preacher boys in the making.
Betty and I were so honored to share in the Retirement Celebration of Pastor David Peterson on December 8th. The First Baptist Church in Land O' Lakes was packed. David pastor for 44 years and was a graduate of Florida Bible College.
Over the years, we have been privileged to preach in camps, men's retreats, church services, and school graduation together. David has been a great defender of the clear gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thanksgiving Days and Christmas Holidays is our most faithful events for our family to get together. My daughter, Trina at 63, works most of the time putting together wonderful meals. Tendell, her husband, surprised everyone with special gifts. I'm not telling!!
After eating, Eddie led us in a song, I read from an article written by Greg Stier, we sung another song, and then shared gifts. It does the heart good to see family enjoying the fire in the fireplace after a great meal with each filled with joy and laughter.
Can you believe that I have 4 grandchildren in these two pictures that if they each would have 3 children each, Betty and I would have 12 beautiful "Great" grandchildren to love on? Would ya'll pray? At 83, we don't have many good years left. Do you understand?

Pastor John Hembree, (left), graduated from Florida Bible College in Tampa. I spoke 4 times last week at Northside Church in Athens. For you that don't know, that is Benjamin and Eden Coile standing beside me. Continue praying for them. They are two Christ honoring children that love the Lord.
