In 1968, I graduated from Florida Bible College and began a ministry in Arvada, Colorado. Beginning with two teenagers, the Christian Youth Ranch grew to a high of over 965. Please allow me the opportunity to share with you a little of the miracle of that ministry.
Shelley is walking down the isle with her dad, Bill Ferguson, whom I had led to Christ. She was marrying Rick Long in the year of 1985. They were both graduates of Arvada Christian Schools that I started with 19 students and reached a high of 320 students.Scott Derrickson (left-when to Hollywood to make movies), Barry Gammel, Yankee, Rick Long, Rob Long, Eric Woodell, Greg Stier, with Steve Gammel and Kevin Boese in the back. They will be celebrating their 40 anniversary this August.
Grace Church in Arvada was planted by Greg Stier (of Dare 2 Share) and Rick Long in 1989.
Grace has 13,000 members who consider Grace home and see anywhere from 2,000 to 4000 each weekend. This weekend there were over 60 new believers. I know because I was the preacher. They have spotters in every section to verify the totals of those who trust the Lord.
Since January 1, they have had 547 new believers just in the weekend services. There are 89 to 100 small groups right now. They have 250 that come every Wednesday night to celebrate recovery service.
They have 300 students in Forge Christian High School their second year. They are on track to have 330 to 350 next year. In May will be their second graduation class. They are graduating 66 this year and 58 last year, which was their first year.

Modern Day Miracle
The school purchase was 12 million and then raised an additional $4.2 million renovation on top of that which was funded by Grace Church. They have 20 acres with 110,000 ft.² buildings. They raised 5 million in two months in order to complete the purchase. They praise the Lord for all his provisions.
