Yankee's 2026 Evangelistic Update Feb

Yankee's 2026 Evangelistic Update Feb

Thanks to you for all your prayers for Betty. After two strokes, she is ready to go back on the road again with me. She walks slowly but has learned how to drive these little go-carts when we shop. My 84th birthday was without a lot of fanfare; we just split a steak at Longhorn's together.

We had a wonderful service on Jan. 25th with Pastor Jesse Martinez of the Calvary Community Church in Tampa, Florida.

Pastor John Hembree graduated from our Florida Bible College in Tampa and is now the pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Athens, Ga.

John wrote to me:

While on the University of Georgia college campus sharing the gospel with college students, a man came to my table loaded with Heaven tracts, bibles and Yankee’s “Gospel Driven Man” books, and other clear Bible based literature. I was engaged with a college student in conversation and this man could not contain his enthusiasm. The man, Gin Kim, said with great surprise, “You mean you know Yankee?” I said Yes, I do. He said, “Do you know Greg Stier?” I said, “I do. Yankee led Greg Stier to Christ. And Yankee had a huge impact on my life.” Gin Kim then stated that he has gone to several of Greg’s Dare 2 Shares and that Greg Stier often speaks remotely to  college students and young people that his ministry has.

I gave him a copy of Yankee’s “Gospel Driven Man” book and we talked about God’s amazing grace to save to all who will believe in Jesus Christ’s payment for their sin.

Here is a picture we took together.

On Feb. 8th

Yankee Arnold came and delivered three outstanding lessons on Repentance and the Gospel, and I truly cannot commend him highly enough for the tremendous job he did. Hearing “Uncle” Yankee clearly present the Gospel was one of the best things our people could have experienced. His message was biblical, straightforward, and powerful.

It was only about six months ago that I first became familiar with Yankee Arnold and his ministry. Through studying his material, I came to realize that I had misunderstood the biblical definition of the words “repent” and “repentance.” When he came and taught on the subject, he explained it in a way that was clear, easy to understand, and thoroughly supported with Scripture and verse. He does not merely state opinions—he opens the Bible and lets God’s Word speak.

Sadly, the phrase “repent of your sins” has quietly worked its way into many churches today. It is easy to tell the lost to do something that none of us has ever done ourselves—namely, to turn from all our sins in order to be saved.  The truth is - no one has ever turned from their sins and is a lie straight from the devil.  In fact, I discovered that a gospel tract our church had been distributing regularly stated plainly in point number four: “repent of your sins.” The moment I saw it, I recognized the confusion it could cause. I immediately discarded those tracts and ordered new ones that present a clear and accurate Gospel message of salvation by grace through faith.

We are already looking forward to having Yankee and his wife back with us in late November. I plan to reach out to several churches within a two-hour driving radius and encourage them to come hear him preach. I am deeply thankful that we had the opportunity to have him deliver these biblical truths with such clarity and conviction.

Unto God be the glory,

Betty and I love fellowship time.

I was privileged to speak for Pastor Jeff Mims of LifeGate Baptist Church in Arab, AL on the Sun night Sunday service. It was great to be with Ted Horton and Scott Carson who came from Dr. Wally Morillo's work in Pharr, Texas.

After driving 350 miles from Miss. to Houston, we made it in time to meet Dr. Andy Woods, the Senior Pastor of Sugar Land Bible Church and President of Chafer Theological Seminary, and enjoy a good Bible study and great supper. Up to this point, I had only heard of Andy, but I truly enjoyed our brief time together.

This is Dr. Gary Solera with Jana Curtis in Richmond, Tex.

Yankee...."I just met you about an hour ago in your Motor-coach RV,.... In Richmond TX. JJ and Gary....And you showed me that same explanation of salvation which I thoroughly understood and enjoyed. May I say, It was truly a pleasure to shake your hand and get to meet and listen to you...Have a Wonderful and fruitful stay in the great state of Texas....And as I said as we left...You've got a Special parking spot up in Heaven with your name painted in Gold on it...God Loves us all,....But He's looking forward to meeting you in Person......Smiles"

We will be in Texas for about a month before heading into Colo. Continue to pray for safety, good health and much fruit. You may see my schedule at: SCHEDULE
