After preaching for Pastor Wally Morillo in Pharr, Texas, at the Grace Community Church, we traveled back toward Houston. I heard about the Prophecy Conference that was hosted by Dr. Andy Woods, whom I had met for the first time a week before.
MELISSA HURAY gave an outstanding testimony about her life and the power of the Lord in bringing her out of darkness into His marvelous light. She works for that "My Pillow" guy that everyone has heard about with his tremendous testimony.
MELISSA HURAY is an Emmy-award-winning news reporter and addiction counselor. She spent twelve years working in intensive outpatient treatment programs before joining the Michael Lindell Recovery Network as the executive director and cohost of The Hope Report podcast. She lives in Lakeville, Minnesota, with her husband, Mike, and has three daughters.

"TOUGH LOVE"
She was only 14 when she got engaged,
To a man named "Shine", who was twice her age.
He had a song, a still, and an old Model T,
and six kids later, my sweet Mom was twenty-three.
BUT THEN, THAT' MY MOM
My childhood memories will never be forgotten,
My dad digging wells and us kids picking cotton.
Walk paths to the outhouse, and the well out back,
See chickens through the floor, feel cold air through the cracks.
BUT THEN, MY MOM WAS TOUGH
Down in the Flatwoods, at the old "SIS PLACE",
Hardness took its toll on my young Mama's face.
For times were hard, and things were bad,
We kids worked my Mom, "White Lightning" worked my Dad.
BUT STILL, MY MOM HUNG TOUGH
She put wood in the stove, and made biscuits from scratch,
She placed irons in the fireplace, and made clothes from sacks.
No time for herself, no time to complain,
She carried her grief, her heartache and pain.
BUT LOVE MADE MY MOM TOUGH
There's Sybil, Man, and Kay; and Yankee, Net, and Liz,
Our one desire is "Tell it like it is".
We love our Mom, and we knew Mom loves us,
Her love was real, and her love was tough.
GOD'S LOVE MADE TOUGH MOMS
All the children are grown, and our Mother is gone,
But half of her hardships has never been known.
I believe to this day, that my Father above,
Granted to my Mother was the gift of "Tough Love".
