Betty had a heart attack in Kansas City, Mo. UPDATE

On April 27th, my beloved wife, Betty, of 63 years and 10 months had a heart attack about 12:30 AM. Following behind an ambulance on a rainy morning produced a numbing feeling about how my wife was doing on her way to the hospital.

We were parked in a RV Park in Kansas City, Mo. She was taken by ambulance to the North Kansas City Hospital. After several tests, it was concluded that she had some heart damage. Her blood pressure was about 220. She was admitted to the hospital to have a stent in an artery that was closed 100%. I coveted your prayers for successful surgery and perfect healing, but greater still for us to manifest a godly testimony as he walks us through this ‘trial of our faith’.

I also want you to know that the the people in this picture are two individuals that came all the way from Princeton, Kentucky and that is Bobby Noel standing beside me and his son-in-law, Ryan Newberry, and William Buttermore who is the pastor of Beth Haven Church here in Kansas City, Missouri.  They have really been a comfort to us at this time. Bobby and Ryan drove over 900 miles round trip to be with us. We stopped in the hallway to have prayer for Betty as she went in to surgery.

Thanks to each and every one of you who took my dear wife, Betty, to the throne of Grace. I believe that the Lord answered the fervent prayers of many righteous believers on her behalf. Betty did great !! - We waited an extra two days in Kansas City before heading to St Cloud, Minn to be with Tom Cucuzza.

Mike Buttermore

Mike Buttermore was all-state fullback from Miami Central High School back in 65-67. He was led to the Lord by Wally Morillo. I was giving football devotions for about 10 high schools in the Miami area. Mike later went to Florida Bible College. His son, William, allowed me to speak at Beth Haven on the 28th.

These three leaders in the church in Pikesville, Kentucky invited me to speak in two morning services. Chris, to my right, is a great youth leader. He is running about 70 on Wednesday night. Tyler, in blue, is taking online classes from Florida Bible College of Tampa. Perhaps you should consider Florida Bible College. Call Dr. Bob Gilbert, Registrar 850-227-5325 (cell)

Heather Akins brought her two daughters to Pikesville to hear me preach. (3 and 1/2 hours one way). Heather trusted the Lord from by youtube videos about 1 year ago. She invited us to her home where I led about 7-8 more to Christ.

It is always a great pleasure to preach at the Northland  Bible Church in St. Cloud, Minnesota. I have known Tom and Sue Cucuzza for about 45 years. His ministry is rock solid in Bible doctrine and evangelism. Their church has been a great financial supporter of Yankee Arnold Ministries. They love what we do.

Yankee praises the Lord for open doors to share the clear-gospel

This was a surprise email I received from Dr. James Dobson’s Family Talk. Two days before this email, I shared with an individual in Pennsylvania how I greatly desired to put the gospel on every radio station in America. Being on 1400 stations is a great opportunity to spread the gospel.

Hello Dr. “Yankee” Arnold!

My name is Kellie Takemoto, Broadcast Coordinator at Dr. James Dobson’s Family Talk.

On behalf of our broadcasting department, I wanted to let you know that will be re-airing your prior recording on Thursday, March 28, 2024. We have entitled the broadcast, “Jesus, The Greatest of All Time."

The program can be heard through multiple media outlets, including our Family Talk App, popular podcast platforms, or a terrestrial station. A list of radio stations that air Family Talk is on our website: https://www.drjamesdobson.org/radio-stations

Nationwide, we have approximately 1400 stations that air Family Talk.

We will also promote the show on our Facebook page the day that it airs: https://www.facebook.com/DrJamesDobsonsFamilyTalk. Thursday, March 28: http://drjamesdobson.org/broadcast/2024-03-28

Jesus, The Greatest of All Time

Host: Dr. James Dobson    Guest: Dr. Ralph "Yankee" Arnold

March 28, 2024 (The message is still posted).

Jesus is the only person in all of history with the ultimate power to defeat death and grant eternal life. On this classic edition of Family Talk, Dr. Ralph “Yankee” Arnold talks about our desperate need for a savior, and Christ’s incredible sacrifice that paid for our sins in full. John 14:6 says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Discover the peace which surpasses all understanding and how faith in Christ alone can bring salvation.

Blessings to you and your team for all you are doing to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a hurting world.

In His service,

~Kellie

PLEASE NOTE!!

If everyone will share this link, we could get the clear gospel to all 50 states in one day. Will you help by sharing? Ralph 'Yankee' Arnold

Bob Wilkin of Grace Evangelical Society wrote the following about my book, "The Dora Lake Story" on April 19, 2024.

I spoke at a church pastored by Dan Adams in Dora Lake, MN, about twenty years ago. In 2012, I received a book from Ralph “Yankee” Arnold entitled The Dora Lake Story. In that book, he talks about how many people in that small town came to faith in Christ when he was preaching there in 1969.

People became very upset by his preaching about everlasting life. They agreed with him that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. However, they did not believe that salvation was irrevocable.

The opposition was so angry that Yankee became fearful for his life. But after speaking one Sunday night, he agreed to risk his life and go to a home and answer questions.

In that home gathering, he said,

If you accepted the free gift of eternal life by grace (without works), you could be saved now and know that you are going to heaven when you die…I impressed upon them the importance of simply believing that Christ [paid for all their sins on the cross], that they could know that they were saved and be certain of going to heaven when they die (p. 19).

A young man said, “Can you show me that [the promise of everlasting life] in the Bible?” Yankee proceeded to do that. He started with Eph 2:8-9, “‘For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast’(KJV)” (p. 19).

Yankee reported the moment when people came to faith in Christ and were born again:

I was explaining the meaning of the phrase, “the gift of God,” when across the room, an older man that was standing by Jim Smith, began to say, “I see it, I see it, I understand!” And he ran out of the house. That man’s name was Chan Adams [father of Dan Adams].

Rodney…said to those in the room, “Y’all be quiet, he showed it to me in the Bible, and I believe it…” The temper, the tone, the tension, and the stress quickly dissipated once Rodney trusted Christ as his Savior” (p. 19).

Yankee had been charged with being antinomian, with promoting loose living. However, the charge didn’t stick because–while he taught the eternal security of all who believe in Jesus for their salvation–he also taught that believers should live holy lives (pp. 45-51).

Yankee was able to share the promise of everlasting life from Scripture. Can you? Can you show from Scripture that whoever believes in Jesus has everlasting life that can’t be lost?

The book’s back cover says, “The real gospel is ‘eternal security’ without perseverance.”

The Dora Lake Story shows how the promise of the gift of everlasting life that can never be lost can spread quickly. The promise of life is powerful. As Diane Boring says, “Jesus’ promise of everlasting life to the believer is the bullseye in evangelism.”
