Betty's Surgery Update and changes to Yankee's schedule.

As many of you know, my wife, Betty, broke her right leg (femur) last month in Jackson, WY. The surgery was successful but rehab followed the next three weeks at St. John's Hospital. This also gave additional time for her leg to heal. She is not to put weight on her leg for about 6 more weeks.

She has had a hard two years with a heart attack, two strokes, and now a broken leg. She is a strong spiritual woman who has handled it all with much grace. I am so proud of her. June 8th, we will have traveled 66 years together.

Her break was right above the knee.

Thanks to each of you for praying. I desperately needed it. I don't believe I've ever had so many decisions to make so quickly. My children and I (after making many twist and turns in decision making), decided that they would fly out to assist their mother home by air, while I had Louie Hernandez (works as the YouTube Director for Yankee Arnold Ministries) fly out to help me drive the motor home back to Tampa. Eddie flew from Nashville and Trina flew from Atlanta. We are blessed with two great kids.

Louie was not only a great help in driving, but was a gospel witnessing machine just like John Hembree.

The high winds cost us our awning so we had to cut away the rest so it would not cause more damage

Louie and I got back in time to have the chair-lift installed before Betty arrived. It worked great!
