Good afternoon, Yankee.
My name is Ray Vaughn. I will never forget you. I live in Tallahassee, Fl, and as soon as I get a chance, I'd like to come to your church and shake your hand. I know that when I die, I'm going to Heaven. I lost my brother Matt on March 9th, and then I lost my sister Pat on May 19th. It's been a rough year. But I'm thankful that I was able to share the gospel with them both, and they trusted Christ, so I know I'll see them again. I don't mean to take up too much of your time, but you were the only one who made the gospel clear to me when I was 63. I'm 65, now and I hope to get a chance to meet you in person. As we were going to pass through Louisville, Kentucky, I called Heather Akins to meet us at Cracker-Barrel for lunch. She brought two others that I had led to Christ several years ago. Heather trusted the Lord from watching my videos on YouTube.
Sept 27th -30th I was privileged to preach for Pastor Lance Edminster of the Grace Gospel Church in Taconite, Minn. Lance is my spiritual grandson in the Lord. Lance has had many difficult health issues this year. His wife, Karla, is truly a jewel. Continue to pray for Lance’s kidneys, blood-clots, and heart issues. I will be preaching for Grace Gospel Church again this Sunday the 18th.
Oct 4th, I was honored to preach three services from Northland Bible Baptist Church in St. Cloud, Minn for my long-time friend, Pastor Tom Cucuzza.
Pastor Tom and I have been friends ever since he worked for our Colorado ministry about 50 years ago. The Lord has blessed him and Sue with three beautiful children and a wonderful ministry. I am proud to call Tom one of my close special friend in the Lord.
Sue was one of the students from our first graduating class where I pastored at the Colorado Bible Church in Arvada. I was honored to see her compassion to help my wife while we were with them. While I am preaching, I must rely on many pastor’s wives to watch her for me. Betty has been confined to a wheelchair for the last two years. We have asked the Lord to bless those who pray for us. Thank you so much.
Pastor Jim Mucerino of the Bemidji Baptist Church in Minnesota has had me as a speaker for about 10 years. As soon as I arrived, he made the mistake of asking how I was doing and how the motor home was running. Without hesitation, I told him how I had lost electricity on all my receptacles on both sides of the coach. I knew that I would have to get an electrician and Jim was no electrician. Before I knew it Jim was on the floor tearing things apart. It wasn’t long before he solved the problem and everything was working.
Robin, Jim’s wife, put two women in charge of looking out for Betty’s needs. They gave her much love and care. In the last two years, Betty has had a heart attack, two strokes, and a broken femur bone. Thanks for your continued prayer for her.
