PRAYER REQUEST FOR UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA FOOTBALL PLAYERS!

Pastor John Hembree is the pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Athens, Ga. The first time he saw me give the "Wallet Illustration" he knew he had Eternal Life. In his late 40's he attended the Florida Bible College in Tampa. He sent this email to me and I want to share it with you. Like it and share.

To Yankee from John:

While sharing the gospel on the University of Georgia campus in Athens, Georgia to college students, three UGA Bulldog football players came by and looked at my sign. I asked them if they were UGA football players because they were giant in comparison to me. They smiled and confirmed they were. I asked them what their answer would be to the question on my sign. Justice Fitzpatrick, a freshman DB, said 100%, Tre Shields a freshman wide receiver, said he did not know, and Nick Peal, a freshman RB said he was 75% sure of going to heaven. I explained the gospel to them and Nick changed his mind from 75% sure to 100% because he had already placed his faith in Jesus for eternal life but needed to have explained to him the difference between salvation and service and that service is not a requirement for salvation.

Service is for those who have already placed their faith in Christ for eternal life. So Nick got assurance. Tre understood the gospel and placed his faith in Christ as the only payment for his sins. Justice had already placed his faith in Christ alone for the free gift of God’s grace, eternal life. I gave them Freddie Coile’s “First Steps for Growing Believers” booklet and told them the importance of growing in the Lord.

They graciously took a photo with me. Justice is on my right and Tre and Nick on my left in the photo.

I told them to share the gospel with their team mates because “Real Friends Tell”. I also told them to talk to Coach Kirby Smart to see if I could come share the gospel with the entire UGA football team and coaching staff.

What a privilege to share the Good News of the gospel everywhere we go. Please pray for my college ministry that the lost will be reached with the gospel and the saved will be challenged to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord.

Yankee Interviews Pastor Lance Edminster. He is the founder and pastor of Grace Gospel Church in Taconite, Minnesota.

Hear this amazing testimony of my grandson in the faith. Lance was near death a few months ago then people went to the throne of grace on his behalf. Listen to him share the gospel to about 5,000 people in Duluth. Like and share, but write an encouraging word of comfort. He still has a way to go, so, continue to pray. CLICK HERE!!!!

I had the privilege to preach at the DaySpring Baptist Church in Pewaukee, WI with Pastor Daniel Reehoff last Sunday Oct 25th for 3 services.

I was thankful for the opportunity to speak at the DaySpring Bible College on Wednesday morning and then to speak that evening for the Quentin Road Baptist Church for Pastor Jim Scudder.

Since Betty has been confined to a wheelchair, many of God's people have shown much concern and compassion for what she has had to face over the last two years.
